1. Who we are

Mythikos Fitness ("Mythikos," "we," "us") is an iOS and Android app for tracking nutrition, training, cardio, recovery, mindset, and progress. This policy explains what information the app handles, when it leaves your device, and the choices you have.

2. Data stored on your device

Mythikos works fully offline. Unless you turn on an account feature (below), the information you enter or generate stays on your device and is not sent to us. This includes:

• Your profile and goal (name, sex, height, weight, waist, chosen goal type)
• Your food diary, saved meals, and recipes
• Your workouts, routines, and personal records
• Body measurements and progress photos
• Cardio, sleep-journal, meditation, badge, and (if enabled) glucose entries
• Health metrics read from Apple Health / Health Connect (see §4)

If you never sign in, this data exists only on your device, and deleting the app permanently erases it.

3. Accounts and cloud sync (optional)

You can create an account to sync your data across devices, back it up, and use coaching and community features. Accounts are optional — the core app works without one.

Sign-in

You can sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password. Authentication and cloud data are handled by our backend provider, Supabase. When you create an account we store an account identifier and your email address so we can sign you in and sync your data.

What syncs

When you opt into cloud sync, the data you choose to sync (such as your profile, logs, routines, and progress) is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in your account so it's available on your other devices. You can use the app without enabling sync.

4. Health and fitness data

With your permission, Mythikos reads health metrics — such as step count, body weight, and (in diabetes mode) glucose — from Apple Health (HealthKit) or Android Health Connect to show your activity and progress, and can write workout-derived steps back to Apple Health when you choose to.

This health data is used inside the app on your device. It is only transmitted off your device if you turn on cloud sync, and even then it is stored only in your own account. We never sell health data, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising. Health and glucose data are never included in any social, community, or leaderboard feature.

5. Coaching

If you choose to connect with a coach (or act as a coach for someone else), you share specific data — such as body weight, training, and nutrition logs — with that person so they can support you. You decide whether to connect, what to share, and you can disconnect at any time. Glucose data is not part of coaching sharing.

6. Community and social features

Community features are opt-in. If you turn them on, you may:

• Create a public profile (you choose your display name and what it shows)
• Join friend groups with streak and personal-record leaderboards
• Post routines publicly, and comment on, like, or save others' routines

Content you post publicly (such as a shared routine or comment) is visible to other users. Your body measurements, weight, progress photos, and glucose readings are never shared through these features. You can keep your profile private or leave community features entirely.

7. Meal photos and the AI calorie estimate

When — and only when — you use the AI calorie estimate, the photo you take (and any short description you add) is sent over an encrypted connection to our processing service and on to our AI provider (OpenAI) solely to return a calorie and nutrition estimate. Specifically:

• The photo is used only to generate that estimate.
• We do not retain your meal photos on our servers after the estimate is returned.
• Our AI provider does not use data submitted through its business API to train its models.

If you never use the AI estimate, no photos are ever sent anywhere.

8. Food database lookups

When you scan a barcode or search for a food, the barcode number or search term is sent to our food-data providers — FatSecret (primary) and Open Food Facts (fallback) — to retrieve nutrition information. These lookups contain product or search information, not personal information that identifies you. Nutrition data is "Powered by FatSecret."

9. What we do not do

• We do not show ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that profile you.
• We do not put your health, body, or glucose data into social features.

10. Data retention and deletion

Local data lives on your device for as long as the app is installed; deleting the app removes it. If you created an account, you can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time:

• In the app: Profile → Account → Delete Account.
• By email: write to support@mythikosfitness.com from your account email.

Full details are on our account deletion page. Meal photos sent for an AI estimate are not retained after the estimate is returned.

11. Children

Mythikos is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. Security

Account data and anything transmitted for sync, coaching, the AI estimate, or food lookups is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and cloud data is stored with our backend provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit what leaves your device to what's needed to provide the features you turn on.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do, and significant changes will be reflected in the app.
